Keyword & topic map
Which queries matter, which page owns each one, and what order to build in. The map decides everything that follows.
Most content is bought by the article and dead by month three. We build the system instead: a keyword map that decides what gets written, pages that each have one job, internal links planned before a word goes down, and a refresh cadence that keeps it all earning. Written for your buyers, in your voice.
Content systems is our name for how we do content: a keyword map decides what gets written, page templates decide how, and a publishing cadence decides when. One-off blog posts are activity. A system is an asset. Every page has a target query, a place in the internal link structure and a review date, so the work compounds instead of scattering.
Most agencies sell content by the kilogram: four posts a month, subjects to be confirmed. The big incumbents buy it, which is exactly why their blogs are graveyards. A challenger cannot afford words that do not work, and the fix is structural, not heroic.
Take the whole system or start with the map. Every part exists to make a page earn its keep, and each one makes the others work harder.
Which queries matter, which page owns each one, and what order to build in. The map decides everything that follows.
The money pages first: one per service, one per place you serve, each written to its own local detail so nothing reads like a doorway page.
Supporting articles that answer the questions before the sale, built to push authority into the pages that win you work.
Every new page strengthens the ones already working. Links are planned in the map, not sprinkled in afterwards.
We draft with AI because it is faster, and a person who knows the subject shapes, checks and rewrites until it is genuinely yours.
Quarterly sweeps keep every page current, so the modified dates in your schema are earned and the positions hold.
Not industry news, and not whatever the competitor blogged last week. You write for the questions your buyers already type: the service they need, the place they need it, the thing they are worried about before they pay. Everything else is decoration.
The map starts with money pages: one page per service, one per area you seriously serve, each aimed at a real query. Supporting guides come second and exist to feed them. That is the same thinking behind our SEO services: pages exist to win specific searches, and the structure decides how far the words can go. If your customers search by suburb or city, local SEO pages carry that weight, written individually rather than duplicated with the place name swapped.
Yes, and no, and anyone giving you a one word answer is selling something. Google ranks helpful content and demotes filler, and it does not much care which keyboard the words came from. Raw AI paste jobs are filler by default: confident, generic and identical to a thousand other pages. That is what gets filtered out.
Our workflow: AI-assisted drafting, then human editing by someone who knows the subject and the business. We run it on our own brands because it is faster, and we edit hard because speed is worthless if the page reads like everyone else’s. If you want the engineering behind that kind of pipeline, that is our AI systems work.
Spruce, our home cleaning brand, is the clearest example. Its site runs on a content system we built: one carefully engineered structure for service pages, city pages and suburb pages, each written to its own local detail so no two read alike. The functional parts stay consistent, the local parts are genuinely local.
The same discipline runs this site. Every service page you can click, including this one, follows a single written formula for headings, structure and internal links. We are not reselling a theory we read somewhere. See what the system produces at our work.
Content marketing services in NZ usually mean a retainer, a calendar and a monthly PDF that proves activity rather than results. We keep the useful parts, strategy, writing, publishing and measurement, and point every one of them at pages designed to rank and convert. If the numbers say a page is not earning, it gets fixed or cut, not celebrated in a report.
One caveat we will always give you straight: content cannot outrun a bad site. If yours is slow or structurally broken, the words fight uphill the whole way, and honest web design is the better first dollar.
One method, three moves. Content rewards the business that keeps showing up, so the method is built for the long run, not the launch week.
01
We map the searches your buyers make, pick the terms worth owning, and give every one a page. No writing starts until the map is agreed.
02
Templates, page copy and internal links, shipped in a deliberate order: money pages first, supporting guides pushing authority in behind them.
03
Quarterly refresh sweeps keep every page current and honest. We watch what earns queries and clicks, and feed that back into the map.
Good copy needs plumbing: structure, schema and measurement. These are the systems your content runs on, so the writing gets every chance to rank.
Content is ongoing work, so most of it is monthly, but the map stands on its own. These are the ranges it usually lands in. We agree the exact scope with you in writing before anything starts.
The full map: queries, pages, priorities and the internal link plan. Yours to keep, run it with us or without us.
The system running: pages written, linked, published and refreshed on a cadence. The compounding option.
Your service and location pages written in one focused block. The money pages first, done properly.
Indicative ranges, not a quote, and no lock-in retainers. We scope the exact number with you up front, in writing, before anything begins.
Yes, when a human owns it. Google does not penalise AI as a tool, it demotes unhelpful content, and raw AI paste jobs are usually unhelpful: confident, generic and interchangeable. Our workflow is AI-assisted drafting followed by human editing from someone who knows the subject and the business. That combination ranks. The paste jobs mostly do not.
Blogging is output. A system is a map, output and maintenance together: every page has a target query before it is written, a place in the internal link structure, and a scheduled refresh. Blogging asks what should we post this week. A system already knows.
Fewer than you fear, more than a homepage. It depends on how many services you sell and how many areas you serve: each one people actually search for deserves its own page. The keyword map answers this precisely for your business before anything is written, so you never pay for pages with no job.
We start with what your buyers type, not what sounds impressive. Search data, your sales conversations and the weak pages your competitors are coasting on. Then we pick terms you can realistically win that lead to revenue, and map each one to a page. Volume alone never decides it.
New pages on an established site can move within weeks. A new domain takes longer. Meaningful positions on commercial terms usually build over three to six months, then compound from there. We would rather tell you that up front than sell you a two week miracle that does not exist.
Tell us what you sell and where you sell it. We will show you the queries you should own and the pages that will own them. Or start smaller: ask for a free content teardown of your current site, and we will tell you which pages are missing, which are underperforming and why. No strings, no retainer pitch.
